The new Crowne Plaza Binhai has been selected as the Official Hotel for the 2012 Volvo China Open. The hotel’s attractive and peaceful location overlooking a small lake with landscaped promenade in the Binhai New Area’s Airport economic zone, coupled with its modern European design and spacious bedrooms, has seen it become very popular with many executives from around the world visiting the area on business.
Only 10 minutes from Tianjin Airport, 30 minutes from downtown Tianjin and 20 minutes from the Volvo China Open venue, Binhai Lake International Golf Club, the hotel will look aftersome of the world’s top professional golfers, sponsors, officials and VIP guests.
“We are very pleased to host such a major international event as the Volvo China Open,” said general manager, Joseph To. “We are sure that Crowne Plaza Binhai will provide an excellent experience for all those connected to the event. We are not just a business hotel but also have a very relaxing and enjoyable environment here for visiting families and tourists.”
The hotel has all the amenities associated with a 5 star international rating including an indoor swimming pool, indoor tennis courts, spa and gymnasium. There are restaurants catering for Japanese, Chinese and Western tastes as well as a spacious lobby bar with nightly entertainment. The hotel also manages an executive apartment complex which provides a minimarket and Irish Pub. Within a pleasant 10 minute walk is an emerging ‘food-street’ with Thai, Korean and Chinese restaurants. For golfers, Tianjin International Hot Spring Golf Club is an easy walk of 200 metres from the hotel.
By the week of the Volvo China Open an array of famous brand outlet shops will be open across the road from the hotel.
